Royal visit to the farm

HRH Countess of Wessex was in Suffolk opening the new Thomas Wolsey School and the Dance East building, but took time out of her schedule to visit the farm and meet Whitton Poppy, HM The Queen's horse which is stabled at Easton Farm Park.  She has a particular interest in farming and chatted with everyone from the farm about the challenges they face.

In honour of the visit, Easton Farm Park has named their first born lamb of the year Sophie.  Sophie the lamb is a beautiful and strong all white lamb and is already proving a big hit at the daily Meet the Babies sessions.  We are awaiting the other lambs, although the ewes are still waiting for a little bit of warmth in the air before they give birth!

There are more photos of the visit on the Gallery section of the website - see the Gallery icon on the very bottom left of the Home page
